Oil company profits a strong motive behind policies of Bush & Lieberman to stay in Iraq.

While George Bush and his ally, Joe Lieberman, attack their critics as either cowards or terrorist sympathizers, an article by Charlie Cray in Alternet identifies a strong corporate profit motive as the real reason for the unwillingness to consider getting our troops out of harm's way. Daily Kos' microcondenser sums up how Bush, closely connected to the oil industry, is putting the squeeze on Iraq's government to guarantee nearly permanent control, by big oil corporations, of Iraq's vast petroleum reserves.
